Bidh e a’ siubhal gu ionadan Meadhan Gàidhlig ann an sgoiltean air feadh na Gàidhealtachd, agus a’ cur a chuid eòlais is sgilean dràma gu feum gus cleachdadh Gàidhlig na cloinne a bhrosnachadh agus a leasachadh.
Thairis air an dà bhliadhna sin bha e glè fhollaiseach gun robh gainne ann de sgriobtaichean Gàidhlig do dh’ òigridh. Aig àm na Nollaig bhiodh na sgoiltean a’ seinn òrain Ghàidhlig mar an taisbeanadh Nollaig aca. Ag obair le sgoilearan ann am Bun-sgoil Àth Tharracail agus Bun-sgoil Bhail’ Ùr an t-Slèibhe (2021-22), leasaich Artair sgriobtaichean le na sgoilearan tro ocaideachadh, agus thaisbean iad stòiridhean stèidhichte air an Nollaig.
Tha na sgriobtaichean a leanas air a bhith air an leasachadh thar nam biadhnaichean. Tha iad air an cur còmhla mar bhrosnachadh do sgoiltean airson an cleachdadh is an atharrachadh a rèir ainmean-àite agus suidheachaidhean fa-leth, & m.s.a.a. Tha cead aig sgoiltean fiù ’s na stòiridhean atharrachadh gu tur.
Tha Artair an dòchas gun còrd e ribh a bhith ag obair le na sgriobtaichean agus gan leasachadh.

Artair Donald has been Drama Artist In Residence with the Highland Culture Collective. He travelled to Gaelic Medium schools throughout the Highlands, using his knowledge and drama skills to encourage and improve the children’s use of Gaelic. Over those 2 years he found there was a lack of Gaelic scripts for young people. At Christmas time, the schools would sing Gaelic songs as their Christmas show. Working with pupils at Acharacle Primary and Bun-sgoil Shlèite (2021-22), Artair developed scripts with the pupils through their work together, and presented plays based on Christmas. You can download the scripts using the link above, and use and adapt them as you please, using place names local to you, and individual situations. Artair hopes you will enjoy working with the scripts and developing them.
These plays have been produced as part of the Highland Culture Collective- a Culture Collective project funded by the Scottish Government through Creative Scotland.
